 SCORE Workshops & Seminars REALLY show you how to do it! We present low-cost business training workshops and seminars for both start-up and in-business people. Training topics range from: writing a business plan to e-commerce to marketing—depending on our client's and the business community needs. SCORE Workshops give you an excellent opportunity to interact with other business people. 

SCORE workshop presenters are practicing professionals! Never find a dull moment! You'll gain a unique insight to many complex business problems and their solutions. SimpleSteps Workshops 
The SimplesSteps workshops are an interconnected series of 5 workshops that will increase your chance of business success.  Each workshop has interactive sessions that help  you make key decisions for a new business start-up.  Topics covered include  Evaluating Your Business Concept, Marketing Strategy, Financial Projections, Funding Sources and much more.  

 

Owning Your Own Business
This enlightening two night seminar will help you understand what it will be like to work for yourself. It acquaints you with the personal traits of an entrepreneur, marketing research, accounting basics, legal matters, business plan preparation and financial/money management


Employer/Employee Relationship 
A round table seminar in our Friends of Score series that addresses the employer/employee relationship.  Issues such as hiring, downsizing, termination, non disclosures/non competes and compensation are included topics.  As a round table setting, open questions and sharing of current situations is encouraged.  There are no prerequisites, but client in existing businesses are desired in order to enrich the discussion and information sharing.

Small Business Survival
How can I turn my business around? How can I go about setting emergency priorities? What do I do about setting proper allocation of resources, goals, time, and resources? How can I stabilize my business and set it back on a growth trajectory? Will a written turnaround plan help? Where can I go to restructure debt and obligations?

SCORE will also have experienced counselors available during and after the workshop to help you with your plan. You don’t have to do this alone. SCORE is happy to help.

Donald Gibson- BS degree in Commerce from the University of Louisville, and an MBA from Webster University.  Work Experience includes 35 years with GE major appliance manufacturing operations, retired as plant manager.

William Goodman- CPA, BA degree Washington University, MBA Degree Indiana University, and post graduate work at the University of Detroit.  

Allen Harris Attorney- J.D. degree George Washington University School of Law, degrees in Accounting and History University of Kentucky. 

Joseph Hatfield-
BA degree Michigan State University, MBA degree Xavier University.   

Eric Mann-
BS degree in Finance and MBA degree, Indiana University. Extensive experience in all areas of commerical banking.
