Counseling

SCORE's volunteer counselors, comprised of active and retired business men and women, provide clients with free and confidential business counseling. Counseling can be conducted at the client's place of business, face-to-face at the SCORE chapter office, at one of SCORE's many counseling centers located in Jefferson County, at your place of business or via email.

New Business Startups
We offer entrepreneurs face-to-face counseling at no charge. This includes counseling those starting a new business. Our volunteer counselors have had successful careers as executives and business owners and wish to share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. Your counselor will meet with you personally, confidentially and as frequently as necessary to define and analyze your opportunities and help you find the solutions. These counseling sessions will typically be scheduled for an hour at one of our locations throughout Jefferson County or our central office in Louisville. Existing Business
If you are currently operating a business and would like a SCORE counselor to come to your place of business or other venue, you can request "EBC"  (Existing Business Counseling) at no charge. Routinely a lead counselor will be in contact to establish a mutuallly agreeable date to get together.  The lead counselor will assess the request and assign appropriately skilled counselors to best serve your needs.  Depending on your situation, you may even be assigned a team of experts!
